How do you support teachers?
As a teacher myself, I am so appreciative of materials that have multiple uses. My books attempt to help children develop language skills while experiencing hidden learning of fundamental math and science concepts. I love working with teachers, especially elementary school teachers, who sometimes don’t have the math background they would like to have, in showing them how to use my stories as springboards for learning activities that extend far beyond the classroom. I write lesson plans, my publisher provides a lengthy activities book based on my book free of charge, and inside the book itself are a collection of extension activities ‘For Creative Minds’. I would love to spend time with teachers exploring ways to bring Fibonacci to life in their classrooms.
